Steven Hamel Commits!

Date Posted: 4/14/2015

Connecticut Valley's Steven Hamel has verbally committed to continue his education and lacrosse career at NCAA Division III Program, Keene State College. Steven has been a member of Connecticut Valley Lacrosse for 3.5 seasons and is the first college commitment for the Class of 2015. Steven is currently a Senior at Southington High School in Southington, Connecticut competing for the Blue Knights. A natural shutdown offensive-minded defenseman Steven was tasked with growing not only individually, but as a teammate further learning the game each time he stepped on the field.

In 2013 & 2014 Steven was a great contributor on the field in each tournament game. Big hits, ground balls, and effectively pushing the ball upfield in transition became a key part of Steven's game and a very important aspect of our team's successes.

As a member of Connecticut Valley, Steven has grown into a dominating defenseman and his worth ethic has without a doubt contributed to his success in being recruiting to compete at the next level. Working tirelessly towards his goals and consistently improving each season (both traditional and off-season) Steven grew not only as a player, but as a person pushing himself to the limits in the classroom and on the field. As Steven continues to push himself in every aspect of his education and athletic careers he will without a doubt find successes; the Connecticut Valley Lacrosse Staff is proud of Steven's accomplishments and wish him the best of luck as he competes in Keene, New Hampshire for the Owls.

Congratulations Steven!
