Steven Jones to Univ. of Colorado!

Connecticut Valley's Steven Jones has been awarded the Marine Corps ROTC Scholarship and committed to continue his education and lacrosse career at MCLA Division I, the University of Colorado. Steven was a member of Connecticut Valley Lacrosse for the past 3 seasons first suiting up in one of our uniforms as a Freshman in 2011. This past Summer, Steven was an integral part of a very talented U18 squad that roughed up many opponents in each tournament they competed in, most noteably posting a 4-1 record in the top bracket of the 2014 UMass Mid-Summer Classic this past July with the only loss being a 1 goal submission to the Northport Tigers out of New York. 

Steven was a pleasure to coach and every one of staff members enjoyed having him as part of their teams. This year, Steven is second year Captain at Tolland HS in Tolland, Connecticut with hopes of leading the Eagles to another Connecticut State Tournament in May. As a player, Steven is a strong and athletic defender who understands the game well and demonstrates excellent leadership abilities on the field. We are confident that he will continue to lead and improve his skills as a member of the MCLA's Defending National Champion, the University of Colorado.
